FATEMA
Fatema, MSW, RSW
Fatema is passionate about helping individuals discover their strengths and build meaningful lives beyond the challenges they face. With experience working in inpatient mental health settings, she has supported individuals navigating complex mental health concerns with compassion, empathy, and evidence-based care.
Fatema earned her Master of Social Work from Western University and takes a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to therapy. She recognizes that every person's story is unique and strives to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their treatment.
When working with individuals living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Fatema utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, alongside Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients face fears, build resilience, and move toward the life they want to live. She completed her ERP training through Behavioural Exposure Training Inc.
Outside of the therapy room, Fatema enjoys exploring nature, hiking local trails, spending quality time with family and friends, and experimenting with new baking recipes—though she'll be the first to admit that not every cake turns out as planned!
